Movies Guardians of the Galaxy On DC vs. Marvel...

On DC vs. Marvel...

...I found this on TV Tropes regarding Marvel and DC:

The Marvel Cinematic Universe in general gets criticism for not falling into this by some groups, notably fans of DC's recent live action works such as The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel, and Series/Arrow. A common sentiment from these groups is basically 'DC is dark realism for adults, Marvel is silly escapism for kids', which is pretty ironic considering how their source material are often known for falling on the opposite side. Of course, it raises the question on if they've even watched these films considering some of the things that happen in the MCU films.

Is this statement actually true?

You present no context for the quote.

What is it referring to? It doesn't even seem that bold.

The night is dark and full of terrors
