Why exactly did the Harvard president snub the 'Winklevii'?
I didn't get that. It's not that the characters didn't act like they were entitled, but they were not acting entitled in that scene. They stated their case fine. Tyler got out of line but I don't blame him for mouthing off to the president who basically sneered his nose at them.

Summers resented undergrads even getting on his schedule. After all, "he was (once) Treasury Secretary."
I've read some of his writings and seen him speak a few times. For the life of me I can't imagine how he got the label from the inside-the-bubble folks as the "smartest person in the room," but it sure went to his head.
His public statements (post Harvard) have actually been more rude than how he was portrayed in the film! "Any undergrads wearing ties on a Tuesday afternoon are a$$holes."
Seriously? A University President with such contempt? Not such a good match, it seems.
