Why?
Why does Rutger Hauer looks at his own crap before he flushes the toilet? It's the most revolting of all.

Honestly, I don't really know the answer to this. I read in one review that the film was supposed to convey reality in all of its forms. There was also talk about it reflecting Erik's immature and chaotic personality. Either way, it was pretty gross. (Laugh)
