Why would you just do nothing and get beat?
Its one thing if someone sneaks up on you and bashes your head. But don't act like you're Ghandi while people are trying to beat you.Grab a weapon or something.

Because if you fight back and actually injured someone, regardless if it was in defense, they could turn around sue you. That's how nasty people can be.
Some guy shot a robber that broke into his house and the robber sued him.

A lot of people are just not built to fight and are too scared. Not that it means they're weak. Some people are just not violent. Even if it means to defend themselves. Also she was beat by more than one girl. Even if she did fight back what's stopping the others from beating her up?
