Zombie Squad
Saw this on a movie festival and it was a lot of fun. It's way more over the top than the first part but it still works.
Well, most of it works besides the Zombie Squad. These guys felt as if they belong in an entirely different movie. Everything from their looks, their clothes, their stupid comments was annoying and didn't fit in at all.
What did you think about them?

Absolutely agree, the reason these films work as horror AND comedy is the fact that the actors and director plays the whole thing very seriously. The US actors almost ruined the whole thing for me.

Sounds great, the festival also! :)

Fantasy Film Fest in Munich.
The reactions were ok I guess. People laughed a lot and even applauded at the end which isn't that common here. There was some audible eyerolling (sounds weird I know but I guess you know what I mean, people shifting, making annoyed voices) at some especially bad lines by the zombie squad. But otherwise it was received well as far as I could tell.
From what I could hear before the movie began and everyone was standing around most people knew the first part as expected. The director of the cinema (or the festival, I can't remember) announced the movie in the beginning with the words 'It's going to be bigger than last time!' Well, he was right.
Also a few university students were doing some study on how much beer people drink during the movie..??? It was kind of weird (but not interruptive)and I'm still confused about the scientific relevance of that study. ^^
