RIP indeed.

His later career was very spotty, with bonafide turds like Bedazzled and Year One. But back when he was younger he had an amazing run (Caddyshack, Animal House, Stripes, Vacation, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters).

Seemed like a cool guy too.
