How old is Ellie?
In the book Ellie is still a graduate student, and is engaged to some guy we never meet. Dr. Grant is a widower. In the film, no reference is made to Ellie still being in school, and she and Dr. Grant are romantically involved. It would probably be unethical for them to have a such a relationship if he were also her professor, so are we to conclude that Ellie is older in the film than in the book?
