Humor in film exactly the same as Austin Powers films

Yet, Austin is loved & the Guru is hated. Was Austin just a more loveable character? I saw "Goldmember" today, & it had just as many gross jokes as Guru.

The only difference is that Austin Powers is funny and Love Guru isn't. It's the same TYPE of humour, but vastly different in quality.

Words no one has ever uttered after a movie: "Damn, I should've had a large popcorn."

When i saw the Guru i thought, this is just like a Austin Powers movie! I could never figure out what was so special about those movies, and with the Love Guru, most people now also see to think that...
