does Deckard know?
there is one thing i am not sure about: does Deckard in the end realize he himself is a replicant?
Deckard was able to kill those replicants because he was one of them. Deckard survived things that a human being would not survive. Roy saw that Deckard was a robot brother even if Deckard himself didnt know it. Rachel didnt know she was a robot too. Rachel had her implanted childhood memories, Deckard had his implanted messing up marriage memories.

Unicorn is for Rachel, the mythical
Weird. In the version of Blade Runner that I saw, Rachel existed and interacted with other characters in the story.
A myth is something that is imaginary, fictitious.

it doesnt sound like anything to do with Deckard to me, that Unicorn.....
So why did Gaff leave it at Deckard's apartment? What message was Gaff leaving for him?

Depends on whether the viewer thinks he's a replicant or not. If he is, then the argument is that he sees Gaff's origami model of a unicorn at the end, realises it refers directly to his reverie earlier on and thus concludes that he is a replicant (if he didn't already know it). However, the model can also be construed as a message from Gaff basically telling Deckard (as a human being) that he's been there and let Rachael live because she is something wonderful (like a unicorn).
